Visitors and residents, grab your sneakers and take a walking tour through Santa Monica. Santa Monica Conservancy is offering tours through Santa Monica where you can learn about the rich history of Santa Monica. This tour is unlike all the others offered in the Santa Monica area. You will have the opportunity to learn about how Santa Monica first became a city and how it has developed it to one of the most visited cities on the west coast.
In just six blocks of walking you will spend about two hours meeting wonderful people and learning the history of our own back yard. Reservations need to be made by the Thursday before the tour. Tours occur every Saturday and are $5 for residents and $10 for visitors.
This tour isn’t ideal for younger children however all are welcome. Keep in mind that tours go on whether we are enjoying the beautiful southern California weather or a bit of rain. With this beautiful summer weather approaching, enjoy some exercise while doing something different. You will be surprised at what you can learn in just a couple of hours.
